"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." - John 3:16
Jenny has been a believer in Jesus since around age 7, when she realized that she needed His righteousness to cleanse her and set her free from her sins. She believes, according to the Bible, that we are all sinful and in need of His salvation to make peace with God.
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." - 1 John 1:9
Her writing reflects her love of God and realities found in Scripture: that we need Him, and that we are incomplete until we have a relationship with Him. These aren't necessarily popular ideas that will help sell books, but they're what she believes and lives with daily - and color everything she is and does.
If you're not sure who Jesus is or what you think about Him, read the four gospels in the Bible (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) in the New Testament, or if you're too busy like Jenny, simply click here to read the book of John online.
Loving the World
If you're between the ages of 21-26 and meet the qualifications, you could serve Christ internationally by being part of the Southern Baptist International Mission Board's Journeyman Program for young adults. This is what Jenny did for two years in Sapporo, Japan.
She's happy to speak to you about her experience and can put you in touch with other journeymen and missionaries through the IMB, both still on the field and retired. Just drop her a line and ask.
Check the IMB's "Go" page for long-term and other opportunities, and be sure to check out the rest of the site for how to support international missions.
Loving Your Family
Jenny also believes that loving Jesus should make a difference in your family life.
If you read romance novels, you'll soon find out the man you marry doesn't look or act... well, exactly like the storybook heroes you find in those pages!
And there's a reason for that: He is REAL, not FICTION! Just as we are!
Jenny loves being a wife and mom (don't ask her when she's stressed, though!) and stands by the Bible's instructions to women, wives, and moms. One of her favorites is this verse in Proverbs: "Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised."
Some of her favorite "wife" resources include books and blogs, and of course friends who are living out their faith in different parts of the world! Feel free to email Jenny if you have marriage questions or comments, or even singles' comments, since she was married just a few weeks shy of 28 years old. She's hardly the expert, but would love to talk!
If you're not married yet, thank you for waiting for the right man from the Lord! Not the perfect man - he doesn't exist - but a man who will help you to grow in Jesus and be the woman He created you to be!
All praise to Jesus!
