Manuscripts for Free

OK, so I was wondering how "Southern Fried Sushi" was getting reviews when the book isn't even released until October 1. And then I tracked down the source: Netgalley.

If you read and review books, you'll love Netgalley. Here's who Netgalley allows to access its its free galley (finalized manuscript) database from publishers: "Any professional reader: book reviewers, journalists, librarians, professors, booksellers, bloggers, etc. Anyone who reads and recommend books can use NetGalley for free."

And guess what? My first novel, "Southern Fried Sushi," and its sequel "Like Sweet Potato Pie," are both on there! You just need to register with Netgalley, and you can browse its datebase for publishers and authors you like and read their entire books - before they're even released! What you'll get is an online copy of the galley for you to read and review - although a review isn't required every time.

And there's more than just my manuscripts - are there are hundreds to choose from. You can take a look at the homepage by clicking here. Barbour Books, my publisher, has a whole section you can check out.

Have fun!
